Muichirō Tokitō does not romantically like Tanjirō Kamado. The ship we are going to talk about here is not one of the most ridiculous ones we’ve heard, but it is completely off and has nothing to do with the realities of the characters involved, and they are Muichirō Tokitō, the Mist Hashira, and Tanjirō Kamado, the show’s protagonist.
Now, Muichirō’s and Tanjirō’s stories had a lot of common elements – both faced tragedy when their respective families were attacked by a Demon and had to do their best to live through that and fight the Demons that harmed them – and while they are allies and friends, we don’t really have much to add in this aspect as far as the depth of their relationship is concerned. When they first met, Muichirō had a very negative attitude towards Tanjirō because he protected Nezuko and was disrespectful of the hierarchy of the Corps.
Still, when they met again, Muichirō had difficulty remembering who Tanjirō was and even what they talked about. This is due to Muichirō’s amnesiac behavior. But, when they talked later, Tanjirō’s words influenced Muichirō, as he remembered them when he went to save Kotetsu. When Muichirō regained his memories and stopped being so mist-headed (pun intended), he remembered who Tanjirō was completely, and they became friends. They would later participate in the raid on Muzan’s Infinity Castle but did not battle together.
Muichirō is a person who is constantly in thought and can never concentrate on one thing. He usually doesn’t get involved much in conversations and only thinks for himself. His thoughts always follow the logic and are still guided by emotions. However, his personality was different before his twin brother’s death. Until he was eleven, Muichirō was very caring. Although originally more like his father, he showed a great deal of kindness and was very understanding, which does not reflect his attitude as a Demon Slayer.
He believes that he must do good for others to do him good. After a Demon killed his brother, Muichirō later lost his memories and retained an ever-present anger that he deeply suppressed and later fueled his intensive training. After the amnesia, he exhibited his indifferent attitude as a Hashira. After Muichirō regained his memories, he showed more emotion and confidence, which helped him form new friendships with the other Demon Slayers. He even used sarcasm against Gyokko, the Upper-Rank Five.
Tanjirō, on the other hand, has frequently been referred to as having soft eyes by others because he is naturally compassionate. He exhibits incredible tenacity and will never give up once he establishes a goal to accomplish. The best illustration of this is his never-ending hunt for treatment for Nezuko. Even though he is physically fit, he is not opposed to asking for assistance when needed. He shows a lot of love to his pals, especially his sister. However, Tanjirō’s most notable quality is his ability to get along with everyone, including demons, which frequently causes him to think twice before killing a demon.
