After sadly having to end the VdlP from Seville in Zamora with a knee fracture in May 2023 I am hoping that I will be able to continue the camino from Zamora in March/ April 2025.
Planning to start mid March and finish before the Semana Santa week.
Any thoughts from those who have walked at this time about weather and accommodation availability ( private preferred ) or if starting in Zamora at the end of April would be preferable.

No guarantees with the weather, of course, but I think starting at the end of April would give you a better chance for drier weather, and warmer. Even better would be starting later, IMHO, but you may have constraints.

Zamora is about three weeks from Sevilla, and I’ve started from Sevilla once in mid-April and once in early May and had great spring weather all the way to Santiago.

Yes I’m starting to think that March might be too cold and wet, especially after a hot Australian summer.
When I walked from Seville in April 2023 it was unusually hot and I would prefer walking in cooler temperatures so it’s a bit of a guessing game.

I agree with Peregrina 2000. When I have walked it has been middle of May before I got to the Sanabrese.
Had good weather and a great Camino.

You will have no problem with hot temperatures at that time but guessing the rain is a fool's game. I was in Zamora on March 26 in 2022 and it was relatively cool (10 degrees C). The Sanabres for two weeks in April was quite cold (around +2 or +3 in the morning with occasional snow flurries overnight). Having said that, I love walking in the cool weather and I was in shorts most days until Santiago. As usual it drizzled a fair bit the last few days in Galicia. Albergues were not a problem though everything is less convenient on the Via/Sanabres.

I left Zamora April 16th 2023 by 5°C and it went up to 20°C in the afternoon in Montamarta luckily a dry day. But I it's not every year the same.

How wonderful to be there for the celebrations. That has also been a consideration . We have family in the UK that we thought we’d visit at Easter either before or after the camino. However Zamora is also very tempting !

Zamora is a beautiful city and the albergue is in the very centre with kind hospitalera and hospitalero (were Cinty and Luis in August). You will love it.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

My plan has me starting in Seville on the 28th of March. I have reservations for Salamanca during Semana Santa on the 19th and 20th of April. I should be in Zamora on the 21st, provided I walk the full 36 km to Cubo del Vino the day before - though the comments on Gronze on the single albergue in Cubo is quite mixed. But, I digress.

Maybe our paths will cross! I'm definitely looking forward to enjoying Semana Santa festivities and comfortable spring weather with, hopefully, little rain. When it comes to weather, though, you don't always get what you want, right?

Our experience at Albergue Torre de Sabre in May 23 was good. Weather was very hot so should be more enjoyable in April. Hot weather meant early starts and umbrella for sun rather than rain plus needing to carry more water. I’m looking forward to cooler conditions this year. Buen camino.
